Message go too far outside. My car was at -2.8* (I think) with eibachs and 17" wheels, and it wore the shit out of my inner treads up front. I would imagine a 1+" drop will exaggerate the problem.

If you want pics of what 9-10k on my out of spec camber tires did, let me know, I'll take a couple to send you.

Like Zlover4life said there is a small amount of negative camber in OEM specs (up to -1*35') but I guess it isn't enough to cause crazy tire wear.

I really wouldn't be worrying about trying to gain handling through "special" alignments on anything other than a no-shit racecar or track dedicated car. You'd be better served elsewere IMO.
